Discalced Carmelite Nuns of San Diego, Carmel of the Trinity
We are daughters of St. Teresa of Avila who profess an allegiance to Jesus Christ by living a consecrated life of silent, solitary prayer in a small community of sisters where we journey together toward our goal in union with God. In this union with God, we are called to be the light of love that must never go out and the heart of love that must not stop beating in and for the world entrusted to our prayer and concern. We live this life through our daily tasks and simple work within the community, and it becomes a prayer offered for the needs of the Church and especially for Priests. In the beginning and until the end of the day, we say yes to Christ because nothing else matters in the world but His life in us that gives us the inner freedom of the children of God. It’s a life of prayer, a life free for love.
